AI infrastructure is shaping how every product will work in the next decade, but the companies building it rarely invest in how they're seen and felt. I want to change that. Hyperspell is giving AI agents memory — I want to give Hyperspell a brand the world remembers.
Experience Designer
Brand is the first product a company ships.
I'm Akshatha Nagendra — a brand and experience designer who works with early-stage companies to build identities that are felt before they're explained.

I'm a freelance brand and experience designer who's spent my career working with startups — the kind of companies where nothing exists yet and everything needs to feel like it was always meant to be. My strength is storytelling: I don't just design how things look, I design how they're understood. From a brand's first mark to the deck that raises its next round, I shape the narrative that holds it all together.
I'm drawn to work where the product is complex but the brand needs to feel simple. Where the founders know exactly what they're building, but the world hasn't caught up yet. That gap — between what a company is and what people feel about it — is where I do my best work.
Freelance & startup brand work — building identities from scratch for early-stage teams.
Storytelling — shaping how companies are understood through design, decks, and brand systems.
Autonomous and fast. I don't wait for perfect briefs — I take ambiguity and make it tangible.
GuzzUp — "Street wala Zing!" A bold, vibrant brand identity for a beverage brand rooted in Indian street food culture. I developed the complete visual direction — from brand voice and personality through to a rich moodboard and identity system that captures the energy, color, and unapologetic boldness of street-side flavour.
A brand rooted in depth, insight, and transformation. I spent a year in-house at The Third Perspective, setting up the entire design function from scratch — brand archetype (The Hero with hints of The Sage), voice (insightful, calm, confident), personality, visual system, and all brand collateral. The result: a design system that's minimalist, structured, and elegant — never performative, always intentional.
I designed the logo and the brand design language for Future & AI — one of the world's largest AI education platforms with over 700,000 subscribers. The brand needed to feel premium and tech-forward while remaining accessible to professionals at every level. Built during my full-time role at Think North, the identity system scales across their newsletter, tools directory (6,900+ AI tools), events, and workshops.
"Defining quiet elegance." Anjya is a jewellery brand that's existed in the market for a long time — but never had a defined brand identity. The fun part was navigating the space between what the founders envisioned and what actually fits the market, then stitching those together into something coherent. I crafted the complete brand narrative from scratch: cultural roots (Anjaneya and Ganesha), archetype (Explorer × Creator), voice, persona, and a full visual language that made the abstract idea of "quiet elegance" tangible and ownable.
I've built brand systems from nothing before — logo, type, color, guidelines, templates. I can own Hyperspell's identity end to end.
"Memory and context for AI agents" is powerful but abstract. I know how to use visual design and narrative to make ideas like this click instantly.
Early-stage companies live and die by their pitch materials. I've designed brand decks from scratch — I understand what makes a story land.
At a small team, you need someone who takes ambiguity and runs with it. That's exactly how I work — fast, autonomous, high-quality.
I'd love to show you how I think about this — and what I'd do first.
